7,000 Knees collects only what it needs to walk with you through our courses and to answer you. We never sell your details or share them for anyone else’s marketing.
Who we are
7,000 Knees is a Christian ministry led by Dr. Fanny Basta. It offers free courses at www.7000knees.org, including Come and See for people exploring faith and First Steps: Is This For Real? for new believers. In this notice, “we” and “us” mean 7,000 Knees.

What we collect

Your answer about your faith journey, and the fact that you joined a Christian course, can reveal your religious beliefs. We treat this as sensitive information: we ask for it only with your consent, use it only to support you, and never share it.
How we use your details
- To know who has joined the course, so we can pray for you by name
- To send you encouragement emails or 30 Days in John, only if you asked for them
- To answer your messages, connect you with a mentor or a local Church, and send a free Bible or book when you ask
- To understand, in total numbers, how many people take the course and from which countries, so we can improve it
We do not use your details for advertising, and we do not sell them.
Legal basis (for visitors in the European Union)
If you live in the EU, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) applies. We rely on:
- Your explicit consent for your sign-up details, including anything that reveals your faith (GDPR Articles 6(1)(a) and 9(2)(a)). You give it with the consent box on the sign-up form.
- Your consent for encouragement emails and 30 Days in John. You can withdraw it at any time with the unsubscribe link in every email.
- Your request when you write to us and ask for something, such as a Bible or a mentor.
Withdrawing consent does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Who we share it with
We share your details only with the services that help us run the website and send emails, and only for that purpose:

Some of these services may store data outside your country, including in the United States or the European Union. They are bound by contracts that protect your data. We never share your details with churches, mentors or anyone else without asking you first.
Your notebook and progress in the app
What you write in the Come and See and First Steps notebooks, your progress through each course, and your Scripture cards are saved only on your own phone or computer, in your browser. They are never sent to us, and we cannot see them. If you clear your browser data or change phones, they are lost.
How long we keep it
- Sign-up details: while you take part in our courses or receive our emails, then for up to 3 years after your last contact with us. After that we delete them.
- Email subscriptions: until you unsubscribe.
- Messages you send us: as long as needed to help you, then deleted.
You can ask us to delete everything sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask us, at any time and free of charge, to:
- Tell you what details we hold about you and send you a copy
- Correct anything that is wrong
- Delete your details
- Stop using your details, or stop sending you emails
- Withdraw any consent you gave
Write to contact@7000knees.org and we will answer within one month. If you live in the EU and are not happy with our answer, you can complain to your data protection authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Children
Our courses are written for adults. If you are under 16, please ask a parent or guardian before you sign up. If we learn that a child under 13 has signed up without a parent’s permission, we will delete their details.
Cookies
Our website uses only the cookies it needs to work and to stay secure. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your details, we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is important, we will tell you by email.
